There are a number of different definitions of the word storage. It could be an action or method of storing something for future use; the retention of retrievable data on a computer or other electronic system or memory; or some space available for storing something, especially allocated space in a warehouse. Goods and other merchandise can be also stored in other storage facilities than a warehouse. These are usually huge building with a lot of spare space inside. There is a number of demands to storage facilities. These buildings should be safe, clean and dry. Sometimes, clients of different storage companies that own these facilities sign different agreements. There are different types of storage facilities. There are special buildings for electronics, refrigerated warehouses, storage facilities for food, and so on. Storage facilities can be equipped with pallets, portable platform on which goods can be moved, stacked, and stored, especially with the aid of a forklift, different loading docks, and other things. In addition, some storage facilities offer forklifts - vehicles with a pronged device in front for lifting and carrying heavy loads.
